Our lives have been forever changed by the addition of the digital world to the physical world. We now live, work, and play in both worlds. Our identity is bound to both worlds.

But today we can only assert ownership over our physical selves and our physical property. Our legal systems govern the physical world but have yet to reach and establish our rights in the digital world.

The Misson of the ARC Association (ARCA) is to establish the basis for the legal assertion of the establishment of identity and ownership in the digital world. Our initiative is inspired and builds on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights because we want to manifest a way to honor human rights and dignity in the digital world just as it has done for human rights and dignity in the physical world.

ARC Association is a Swiss-based non-profit governed by a Decentralized Autonomous Association that allows for every individual and corporate entity to own their own digital identity without the ownership or control of any outside parties. ARCA manages an Identity Registry that runs on a private, decentralized infrastructure secured and protected to allow members to connect to all of their digital identities, information, and property.

ARC stands for Autonomous Relationship Connector. Our digital identities are all about our relationships exactly like our names, titles, and roles in the physical world. The ARC Identifier allows you to connect all of the digital identities that you currently use that are owned by other entities to a unique identifier that you own and control. Becoming a member of the ARC Association provides a legal structure to exercise your right to all of the information that is attached to your digital identity.

We look forward to bringing together all the aspects of our digital identities under a legal structure that allows everyone to enjoy the rights and responsibilities we have in our physical lives with those in our digital lives.
